Delete Your Account
Effective date: October 28, 2026
You can permanently delete your PayBirch account and personal data at any time — from inside the app or website if you still have access, or by request if you don't. This page explains exactly what gets deleted, what (if anything) we're required to keep, and how long it takes.
Option 1: Delete it yourself (recommended, immediate)
If you can still sign in — on the PayBirch website, the iOS app, or the Android app:
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to the "Danger zone" section at the bottom.
- Tap or click "Delete account".
- Type DELETE to confirm, then confirm the deletion.
This takes effect immediately — not after a waiting period — and you're signed out automatically once it's done.
Option 2: Request deletion without app access
If you've uninstalled the app, lost access to your account, or would rather request deletion by email, contact us at privacy@paybirch.com from the email address on your PayBirch account, with the subject line "Account deletion request". We verify the request came from that account's registered email address, then delete your account the same way the in-app option does — typically within a few business days.
What gets deleted
- Your login and profile.
- Your clients, invoices, and reminder/sequence history.
- Connected Gmail/Outlook mailbox credentials — these are deleted, not just disconnected.
- Payment plans, branding/logo, and any AI usage history tied to your account.
- Your active subscription, which is cancelled immediately as part of deletion.
If you're the Owner of a shared Business account that still has other active team members, deletion is blocked until those members are removed — we never delete a shared account's data out from under teammates who are still using it. Deleting your own account only ever removes your own data; if you're a team member (not the Owner) on someone else's account, your deletion removes your login and your own personal data, and leaves that shared account and its data untouched.
What we keep, and why
- Billing records we're legally required to retain for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes (handled by Stripe and PayBirch), for as long as that legal obligation requires — even after your account is deleted.
- Nothing else. We don't keep a "soft-deleted" copy of your account, clients, invoices, or mailbox credentials after deletion.
See our Privacy Policy for the full detail on data retention and your rights.
